This is so silly but my neighbor's snow removal guy keeps piling his snow (and rocks) into my yard. We are elderly and my husband is recovering from a hernia. We've received well over a foot of snow this past week. I just want to know if I can tell them to stop.
Hello ****, you have every right to request your neighbor to stop. In Illinois, it's typically illegal for one property owner to alter their land in a way that harms a neighboring property. This includes snow removal. If they don't comply, legal action can be taken.
Is it considered trespassing?
In Illinois, trespassing generally involves entering another person’s property without their permission. Piling snow in your yard could be seen as a nuisance or property damage, rather than strictly trespassing.
