I was in an auto accident and I hit a mailbox and brick pillar. I reported it to my insurance and filed a claim. They assured me that my policy covered the damage and that they would take over from there. I have tried to follow up to see if my insurance has reached out to the owners of the mailbox and to make sure they were taken care of. I have called several times an my adjuster won't respond to me. I just want peace of mind
Hello ****, I understand your concerns. In Kentucky, insurance companies have "good faith" duties to their policyholders. They must respond promptly and fairly to your queries and claims. If you feel they are not fulfilling these duties, you may consider filing a complaint with the Kentucky Department of Insurance.
Have I fulfilled my obligations really is what I want to know from my end
Based on your description, it seems you have fulfilled your obligations by reporting the accident to your insurance and following up. In Kentucky, drivers are typically required to:
- Notify their insurance company promptly after an accident.
- Cooperate with their insurance company's investigation.
However, each situation can be different. It might be best to consult with a local attorney for specific advice.

Based on your details, it appears you've met your obligations by reporting the accident and cooperating with your insurance company. However, it's always best to consult a local attorney for confirmation.
Would I receive something in the mail about it?
Yes, typically, insurance companies send written communication about claim status and resolution. If you don't receive anything, it might be good to follow up with them directly.
