Can you advise me on a legal matter ? My son got an offer to take to judge at Pinellas County in Florida wanted to get second opinion
Hello ****, sure I can provide general legal information. Could you please provide more details about the offer your son received? The more specific you are, the better I can assist you.
I've sent over the offer to the State and just heard back that they aren't willing to reduce it to a misdemeanor but are willing to give you a withhold of adjudication with 24 months probation to go into the program. As long as all goes well on probation, you will not have a felony adjudication on your record. They're OK with doing early termination at the halfway point with everything done, so we'll have to ask the new judge if this is OK. I'll set you for the soonest change of plea, which will likely be next week.
Hello ****,
Here are a few things to consider about your son's situation:
- Withholding adjudication means he won't have a conviction on his record if he completes probation successfully.
- Early termination is usually granted if all conditions of probation are met.
It's advisable to consult with a local attorney for a more in-depth understanding.
Thanks
