I am in a bit of a messysituation
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, Mandy. Could you please provide more details about your legal issue so I can better assist you?
I missed a court at the end of may. A warrant was issued for my failure to appear even after I requested a video visit because I live an hour away and had vehicle problems. When I was arrested my warrant had my name but referred to me as a male subject not female. Plus I was lied to for the reason being arrested I was told I was being arrested for a probation violation in a municipal case that I currently have a appeal pending
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, Mandy. In Ohio:
- A warrant can be issued if you miss a court appearance.
- It's essential that the warrant has accurate information.
- You have the right to know the charges upon arrest.
Did you inform the court about the gender discrepancy and alleged misinformation?
The missed court date was for a common pleas case in the same jurisdiction as my municipal case that is being appealed so any sentencing for that appeal case is stayed. So why was I told I was being arrsted for a probation violation
It's possible there may be a misunderstanding or error. In Ohio:

Also no body aasked me for my SS# when I was being arrested at my home or my Driver ID. I live in a different county also from where the warrant was issued. After I was put in handcuffs I was taken to the warrants jurisdiction and on the way there I even asked the officer that drove me what was going on and I was told that he didnt know. I had to spend 12 days in jail. I have mental health issues as well. While I was in jail I spoke with a corrections officer about some information I had that dealt with some stolen items such as guns and I wanted to talk to a detective and do the right thing by letting them know and if at all possible maybe help me out a lilttle bit for letting them know. I also asked my Public defender if there was anything as far as a plea deal that could be arranged in my case. Prior to all this when I was booked in I was having a hard time being locked in jail and away from my family and my emotional support dog along with my anxiety and depression I was crying I was terrified being in there I have never been arrested and made to remain in jail. I was having panic attacks and crying allot so they made metake my clothes off and where a green suite that had velcro on it and lay on a piece of cold cement for a few hours and I stated I was cold. I was told that the officers were not there to make me comfortable so I would have to deal with it. This is just a few things that took place. I was orginally charged with counterfeiting * -* dollar bills and using them at * stores. I was told if I plead guilty that I would have * yrs of probation and that I woud have the chance to terminate it early on good behavior and also the chance to have it transferred to the county I live in . The only thing I am truly guilty of is using the money but I didnt know nor did I make it
