I have a problem with my contractor

We didn't get any specific plans like working hours, work ranges, when they would start and end etc. just they said it would take for *-3 days for two people (I have record) and they started and they put two people for three days and put four people for a day. And charged us unnecessary labor fee. I want to give them the minimum wage now. Because even though it was verbal agreement and we didn't sign any document, contracts. Can I do that?
