There is a website, Booksrun.com, that has been reported to the BBB multiple times for the same scam over and over again, even happened to myself. I got a quote for a sellback cost for college textbooks, some of these still brand new in plastic wrap, and they told me that * of the * were counterfeit when I purchased them rightfully from Amazon and my college bookstore. They claimed that the other * books that were NOT counterfeit were so poorly damaged, they could only give me *$ for them (*$ less than the original quote). I accepted the *$ for the * other books, sure, why not, I could use the money right now anyway. But then they continued to claim that because the others were counterfeits, they would not return them to me either. Today I now receive an email from them stating that because I sent counterfeit books, they disabled my account AND refuse to even pay me for the * books they claimed were poorly damaged. So, in all, they get to keep the free college textbooks I sent them, I don't get them back, they've disabled my account, won't return my calls or emails, and I'm not even getting paid like originally agreed. I searched the company on BBB and there are many other similar experiences from other people on there and this company is continuing to do this same to them as well as keep the books and not paying them either. They are a fraudulent company taking advantage of college students all over the United States, and something needs to be done!
