I paid for my AT&T bill with a credit card, in the midst of all this happening. Somebody got a hold of my credit card number and started making fraudulent unauthorized purchases with my credit card. I called the credit card company to dispute it when I did, they automatically assumed that my AT&T bill that I paid was fraudulent. After the credit card company did some investigation, they came to realize that my AT&T bill was authorized and it was mine so they sent the money back to AT&T, yet AT&T never received it. What do I need to do? I have the paperwork to prove what I just told you.
You need to:
- Contact AT&T and provide proof of payment.
